Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath)  programme will be organized at the Department of Mathematics, St. Dominic’s College Kanjirapally, Kottayam, Kerala-686512 during May 05-10, 2025.

All the participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Accommodation will be provided for the outstation participants.

Outstation participants will also be provided with Government bus fare/Sleeper class train return fare whichever is the least on production of original tickets.

Academic programme

The programme will feature courses in Linear Algebra, Real Analysis, and Foundations, taught by highly experienced faculty specializing in the MTTS teaching methodology. Instead of traditional lectures, the instruction is designed to actively engage participants, encouraging them to think critically and independently discover mathematical concepts and results.

Eligibility

Second year (3rd/4th semester) undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Exceptionally bright first year students also may apply. Students from Kerala and neighbouring states will be given preference.

Selection

The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

Registration Fee

There is no registration fee for the programme.
