Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath)  Programme will be organized at Department of Mathematics, Guru Nanak College, Killianwali, Punjab during March 24-March 29, 2025.

Academic programme

Three fundamental courses in Mathematics will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology. The aim of the instructions is not to give routine lectures but to stimulate the participants to think and discover mathematical results.

Eligibility

Second year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Students from the Punjab and neighboring states will be given preference.

Selection

• The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

• Sleeper class train fare or state bus fare and accommodation will be provided to the selected non local participants. Food will be provided to all the participants.

• While the students report at the programme venue, they should bring a bonafide certificate from their institute and undertaking form signed by the student and parent in the format available at the page http://mtts.org.in/downloads

About the organizing institute

Guru Nanak College killianwali affiliated to Panjab University Chandigarh has been established with the motto of “Strive Seak Serve” and showering rays of knowledge since 1956.
