To further the reach of MTTS training to a larger audience of deserving students, a programme titled “MTTS Overture” was introduced in 2023 through which two-day workshops were held in colleges in different parts of the country. In each of these camps, about fifty students studying in colleges in the locality, are trained by two experienced MTTS faculty. Two very short courses out of Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Foundations, etc., are run exposing the young undergraduate students to the MTTS learning methodology, and to various resources for self-learning.
The MTTS trust bears the cost pertaining to the resource persons and the host institute is expected to arrange food, refreshment, etc., for the participating students charging a nominal fee from the participants, if needed.
For a given financial year, the Overture camps are organized during the period October – February, and preferably in institutions that are serving students in geographically disadvantaged locations. The proposals for a camp should be submitted by the month of May.
The colleges interested in organizing Overture camps can apply online. A teacher (with the consent of the Department and the College authorities) may submit the proposal to organize an Overture Camp in a college, at this link.
