Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath) Programme will be organized at Mizoram University, Mizoram during July 08 – 13, 2024.

Academic programme

There will be courses in Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis. The courses will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students with mathematics who are completing their second year in the academic session 2023-24 are eligible for this camp. Only those students from Mizoram and neighbouring states in the North-Eastern states will be considered.

Selection

•  The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

• The list of selected candidates will also be posted on this webpage. Only selected candidates will be informed of their selection.

• All the participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Accommodation will be provided for the outstation participants.

• Outstation participants will also be provided with Government bus fare/Sleeper class train fare which ever is the least on production of original tickets.

• While the students report at the programme venue, they should bring a bonafide certificate from their institute and undertaking form signed by the student and parent in the format available at the page http://mtts.org.in/downloads

Registration Fee

There is no registration fee for the programme.

Mizoram University, founded in 2000 is located at Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram and is spread over about 978 in an area on the outskirts of the city.
