Abstract of the talk

The binary recurrence sequences, for which Fibonacci sequence is a very special and well-known sequence, are interesting integer sequences which appears in different areas of mathematics and other sciences and these are well-studied. These sequences have interesting arithmetic properties. In this lecture, I will introduce the basics of these sequences and talk about its arithmetic properties and mention some interesting problems.

Who may attend?

To understand the talk, one needs to know the basic mathematics from the first year of the usual B.Sc Mathematics courses in India. Hence, only those who have completed first year B.Sc in Mathematics or equivalent may attend the lecture.
