An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath)  Programme will be organized at Department of Mathematics, Sidharth Govt. Utkrisht College Nadaun, Nadaun, Himachal Pradesh during October 09-October 14, 2023.

Academic programme

Three fundamental courses in Mathematics will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology. The aim of the instructions is not to give routine lectures but to stimulate the participants to think and discover mathematical results.

Eligibility

Second year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Students from the Himachal Pradesh and neighboring states will be given preference.

Application Procedure

  • Application by the candidates should be submitted online at the site https://4dspace.mtts.org.in. For detailed guidelines, please see this page.

  • After logging into the site using the OTP received at the given email address, select the programme Initiation into Mathematics 2023, Himachal Pradesh

  • Recommendations by teachers are also to be submitted at https://4dspace.mtts.org.in

Selection

  • The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

  • Sleeper class train fare or state bus fare and accommodation will be provided to the selected non local participants. Food will be provided to all the participants.

  • While the students report at the programme venue, they should bring a bonafide certificate from their institute and undertaking form signed by the student and parent in the format available at the page http://mtts.org.in/downloads

Instructions for the selected

  1. Please note down your Selection ID from the published list. This should be used for all your future communications with us.
  2. Within the next 2-3 days (by 20th September),  you will receive an email from the local coordinator, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma, sent to the email ID that you have used to apply to this programme.
  3. Please keep checking this email ID, especially the spam folder, and also the above website for any updates, and act accordingly.
