Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath) Programme will be organized at Vitthalbhai Patel & Rajratna P. T. Patel Science College, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat during January 06 — 11, 2025.

All the participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Accommodation will be provided for the outstation participants.

Outstation participants will also be provided with Government (non-AC) bus fare/Sleeper class train fare whichever is the least on production of original tickets.

Academic programme

There will be courses in Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis. The courses will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology.

Eligibility

Undergraduate students with mathematics who have completed their first year in the academic session 2023-24 are eligible for this camp. Students from Gujarat and those from neighbouring states will be given preference.

Selection

The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

About the Institute

V. P. & R. P. T. P. Science College (Autonomous), established in 1947 and managed by Charutar Vidya Mandal, is one of the oldest science colleges in Gujarat, affiliated with Sardar Patel University. The college is named after the freedom fighter Shri Vitthalbhai Patel, with its foundation laid by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The college holds ‘A’ grade in its third cycle (2020-2025).
