A Mini MTTS Programme will be organized at SIKKIM MANIPAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, SIKKIM during DECEMBER 09-14, 2019   01-06 January, 2020.
Participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Limited accommodation for selected outstation participants is available at HOSTEL GUEST ROOMS. Outstation participants will be provided Government bus fare/Sleeper class train return fare whichever is the less on production of original tickets.
Note: Maximum Rs. 1000/- TA will be reimbursed.

Academic programme

There will be courses in Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis.

Eligibility

Second year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Exceptionally bright first year students also may apply. Students from the STATE OF SIKKIM & NEIGHBOURING STATES will be given preference.

Selection

Selection would be based on merit and recommendation from teachers.

REACHING SMIT

Nearest railway station is NJP (New Jalpaiguri).
Option 1: Shared taxis are available from the taxi stand outside the station. Fare is 200 to 300 rupees.

Option 2. One may go to SNT bus stop, Siliguri. Shared taxi and buses are available from this point as well. Fare from SNT bus stop to SMIT is 150 to 200 rupees. To reach SNT bus stop you may catch a tempo from NJP station (Fare is Rs 20 ).

It will be better if you book a train that reaches NJP station before 3 pm. The journey from NJP to SMIT will take 2 to 3 hours.

Registration Fee

There is no registration fee for the programme.

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT), located at Majitar, Sikkim is a constituent college of Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok.
