Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

MTTS Trust in collaboration with Higher Education Department, J&K is organizing Pedagogical Training for Mathematics Teachers (PTMT) at Jammu & Kashmir Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Srinagar during July 17–18, 2023.

Theme of the Programme

The workshop will focus on the pedagogical aspects of undergraduate mathematics. Topics in Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis will be covered. In each of the themes, we shall discuss some examples and results that need to be emphasised to transmit the spirit of the subject. We shall point out some of the difficulties students face and give some remedial tips.

Eligibility

Any mathematics teacher, teaching in UG/PG departments. Preference will be given to young and teachers from Jammu and Kashmir and neighbouring states.

Selection

Only selected candidates will be informed of their selection by June 25, 2023. The list of selected candidates will also be posted at this webpage.

Candidates selected for the programme will be paid train/bus fare by the shortest route and will be provided free boarding and lodging for the duration of the course.
