6-Day Programme
Karaikal, Dec. 9:
A six-day mathematics training programme commenced yesterday at the Department of Mathematics, NIT Puducherry, Karaikal, running from December 8 to December 13.
The primary objective of this programme is to strengthen mathematical thinking and problem-solving abilities among undergraduate students. Prof. Makarand Madhao Ghangrekar, Director of the National Institute of Technology Puducherry, inaugurated the training programme in the presence of Registrar Dr. Sundaravarathan and Head of the Department of Mathematics Dr. Govindaraj. In his address, the Director highlighted the importance of nurturing mathematical talent among young learners and encouraged the participants to engage actively.
A total of 57 participants from 40 different institutions across Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are attending the event. Interactive discussion sessions are being led by experienced faculty members, including Dr. Srinivasan from Bharathidasan University, Dr. Chandrasekar from the Central University of Tamil Nadu, and Dr. Balakumar from NIT Puducherry.
