Initiation into Mathematics 2026, Madhya Pradesh

The Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath) programme is a regional level camp organized under the aegis of the MTTS Trust. These regional camps are designed to provide opportunities to a larger number of students and run along the same lines as the annual summer camp. The intent is to stimulate participants to think and discover mathematical ideas on their own through highly experienced faculty.

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath) Programme will be organized at Department of Applied Sciences, Institute of Engineering and Technology, SAGE University Indore, Madhya Pradesh during October 26–31, 2026.
All the participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Accommodation will be provided for the outstation participants. Food will be provided to all participants. No travel allowance will be provided.

Academic Programme

The programme consists of the three fundamental courses Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis in mathematics. The courses will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology. The aim is to:

• Expose bright young students to the excitement of doing mathematics.

• Promote independent mathematical thinking.

• Help participants gain confidence for self-study and advanced courses.

Eligibility

• Academic: Second-year undergraduate students currently in their 3rd semester with mathematics as one of their main subjects. Exceptionally bright first-year students may also apply.

• Regional: Students from Madhya Pradesh and its neighbouring states will be given preference.

Application Procedure

• Portal: Applications must be submitted online at https://5dspace.mtts.org.in.

• Register & Login: If you are visiting this portal for the first time, register giving your fullname, email address and password. Give your full official name, as this will be used across different applications you submit at this site.

• Academic programmes: Click on Academic programme menu item, scroll down and then click on “2026 onwards” link under “Initmath Application System”, click on “View full details” under “Initiation into Mathematics 2026, Madhya Pradesh”. Follow the instructions there to fill the form.

• Recommendations: Ask your teachers to submit their recommendations via the same portal, following the instructions they receive at their email.

• Selection Criteria: Based on merit, consistent academic records, and teacher recommendations.

• Notification: Only selected candidates will be informed and the list will be posted at this webpage..

• Support: All the participants will be provided with local hospitality and study material. Accommodation will be provided for the outstation participants. Food will be provided to all participants. No travel allowance will be provided.
