Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

The MTTS Trust, well-known for its pioneering contributions in Mathematics Education, is launching a new initiative — an Online Training Programme on Statistics for Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Aimed at bridging the gap between theory and practice, the programme will train students to analyze and interpret data using real-world datasets while equipping them with essential mathematical and statistical skills (foundations) for careers in ML, DS, and AI in both industry and academia. Designed in the true spirit of MTTS pedagogy, the curriculum blends lectures with discussions, lab sessions, and projects, ensuring an interactive and hands-on learning experience for motivated undergraduate and postgraduate Mathematics students.

Aim of the Programme

• To bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and real-world applications by training students to analyze and interpret data using industry-relevant datasets. (relevant data sets from industry and society)
• To equip students with the statistical and mathematical skills necessary for pursuing careers and advanced studies in Machine Learning, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence.

Academic Programme

The curriculum for the programme has been developed after extensive discussion with leading experts from industry, academicians who offer such courses and also subject experts who are consultants to the industry. The programme is designed in the true spirit of MTTS teaching pedagogy ensuring a highly interactive format with every lecture to be followed by group discussion and hand-on lab sessions and capstone projects.

Eligibility & Selection

Undergraduate students in their 5th or 6th semester and postgraduate students in their 1st or 2nd semester, with Mathematics as a primary subject, are eligible to apply. Selection will be merit-based, determined by a consistent and strong academic record and a recommendation letter from a teacher familiar with the candidate’s academic abilities.

How to Apply?

Applications can be submitted online at online application system https://5dspace.mtts.org.in.

Steps to submit applications

1. Obtain permission from a teacher who is well-acquainted with your academic background. Ensure they agree to provide their email address and contact details. Include this information in the application form.
2. Register for a user account at https://5dspace.mtts.org.in. The users will get an email from the system within a few (10-15) minutes. If they do not see this email in their inbox, they may please check their spam folder as well. Verify their email using the link given in the email they receive.
3. Login to the system at https://5dspace.mtts.org.in.
4. Click on the button Stat4mldsai application system to see the list of such programmes to which the application process is going on.
5. Under “Your application”, click on STML0001 application control panel button.
6. Click on submit a new application.
7. Fill all the form pages (4 pages) carefully
8. You have to give  your class 10, 11, 12 examination details. The 3rd and 4th Semester UG programme examination details are also required, if they are available.
9. In the first page of the form, after selecting your institute state, if your institute name is not found, please add it to the online system yourself, and come back to the first page of the form to select your institute.
10. Note that, if the email address of the recommending teacher you enter in the application system is wrong, the teacher will not receive our recommendation request emails, and hence you will not get any recommendations.
11. After filling the form, check the preview carefully (especially for the spelling of your name, date of birth, spelling of your teacher email address)
12. If you are not satisfied with the preview, edit the application form data again.
13. Read the terms and conditions (T&C)  given below the application preview.
14. Read carefully the items in the T&C section . Check the boxes to the left of each of the item if you agree to them. There is a submit button towards the bottom of the checkbox T&C. On agreeing to all the conditions, this button will be enabled for clicking and submitting.
15. Click on the submit button wait for a while.
16. The status of the application will be updated in the application control panel. You also will be able to see the application form you have submitted using the link given in the CP.
17. Request your teacher to check for the email sent from the online system with a recommendation submission link.
18. You will be able to know if your teacher has submitted recommendation at the application control panel.
19. In case of technical difficulties in logging in to the system or in filling the form, please send your difficulty with a screenshot of the problem facing page. The subject of the email should be “Technical issue with MTTS 5dspace”. It may be emailed to mttsonlineservices @ gmail.com. For any other general queries, please contact the local co-ordinator.
20. Technical queries/issues related to the website reported through any other means may not be addressed.

Registration Fee

A registration fee of ₹3,000/- will be charged to students selected for the program. Selected applicants must pay the fee within the specified confirmation period following the publication of the selection list. Bank account details for payment will be provided to selected applicants via their registered email addresses. Failure to pay the registration fee within the stipulated period will result in the cancellation of the selection.

The MTTS Trust envisions creating a sustained impact by strengthening the role of Mathematics and Statistics in shaping competent professionals for the rapidly evolving domains of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. Future training programme include
