Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

An Initiation into Mathematics (InitMath)  Programme will be organized at Department of Science & Mathematics, IIIT Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh 493661, during October 1-October 6, 2025.

Academic programme

Three fundamental courses in Mathematics will be taught by highly experienced faculty in MTTS teaching methodology. The aim of the instructions is not to give routine lectures but to stimulate the participants to think and discover mathematical results.

Eligibility

Second year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Students from the Chhattisgarh and neighboring states will be given preference.

Selection

• The selection will be on merit, based on consistent and good academic records and recommendation by a mathematics teacher.

• Sleeper class train fare or state bus fare and accommodation will be provided to the selected non local participants. Food will be provided to all the participants.

• While the students report at the programme venue, they should bring a bonafide certificate from their institute and undertaking form signed by the student and parent in the format available at the page http://mtts.org.in/downloads

About the organizing institute

International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur (IIITNR), formally Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur, is a state funded technical institute located in the newly developed smart city Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar. The campus is situated on the lush green land near Uparwara village, Sector 24, near Purkhoti Muktangan, Atal Nagar Chhattisgarh. The institute is focused on research and development in Information Technology (IT) and associated disciplines. The institute was established in year 2015 by the International Institute of Information Technology University Act, 2013 of the Government of Chhattisgarh. It is a joint venture of Government of Chhattisgarh and NTPC Ltd. It is a state university recognized by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.
