Who can apply?

Any mathematics teacher, teaching in UG/PG departments. Preference will be given to young teachers.
Total number of participants is restricted to 40.

How to apply?

Please visit this link to submit your application online from 31st May 2015 onwards. Please note that you need to also send a signed copy of the printout of the application to the address of the coordinator given below to reach latest by June 20, 2015. On the top of the cover containing the application form, please write APPLICATION TO PTMT 2015, NANDED in capital letters.

Selection

Only selected candidates will be informed of their selection by June 21, 2015 through email. The list of selected candidates will also be posted on this webpage.
Candidates selected for the programme will be paid AC-3-tier train/bus fare by the shortest route and will be provided free boarding and lodging for the duration of the course. Any other instructions and guidelines for the participants also will be published in this website.

Theme of the programme

The programme will concentrate on Real Analysis.
The topic of real analysis is the first course a student of mathematics encounters which requires imagination and subtle reasoning. It has a strong geometric flavour which needs to be transmitted to the students in a rigourous and clear manner. The objective of the programme is to train the teachers to teach real analysis in an enjoyable and meaningful way.
