Mini MTTS 2019 – Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh – Mathematics Training and Talent Search Programme

A Mini MTTS Programme will be organized at Silver Jubilee Government College (A), KURNOOL-518002, Andhra Pradesh State during August 26-31,2019.

Silver Jubilee Government College (established in 1972), Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh State is the only one Residential Government Degree college where the students are selected through State wide entrance test from both the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
This college was accorded with the status of Autonomy in 2005 by the UGC and accredited with “A” grade by NAAC in 2006. W
In 2010, the college was acquired the prestigious ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ (CPE) status from the UGC.
In 2011 the College was given extension of Autonomy in 2014 and was re-accredited with Grade A (CGPA 3.3) by NAAC.
During 2016, the DBT, GoI, has selected our College under Star College Scheme to extend financial support to five science departments and RUSA has selected our College as the Lead College under Cluster University scheme.
In 2018, Silver Jubilee Government College is ranked 35 by NIRF constituted by MHRD, GoI and it is the only College in both the Telugu states to be ranked in 1-50 range
This college has been initiated by MHRD as “INSTITUTION INNOVATION CELL” in November 2018
KURNOOL is city is located in Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway and well connected with Train/ Bus facility from all corners of A.P and Telangana states .
For other states Kurnool is connected with Bellary, Gadag, Bijapur, Bangalore, Mysore of Karnataka state & Chennai, Vellore ( Tamil Nadu)

Participants will be provided with local hospitalities and study materials
Accommodation for selected outstation participants is available at Hostels of Silver Jubilee Government College (A), KURNOOL-518002, Andhra Pradesh State.
Girl participants will be accommodated in Girls Hostels (within College Campus only ) & taken care by Women teaching staff.
Outstation participants will be provided Government bus fare/ second class train sleeper fare which ever is the least on production of original tickets.

There will be courses in Foundations, Linear Algebra and Real Analysis. The resource persons would be

Second year undergraduate students with Mathematics as one of their main subjects. Exceptionally bright first year students also may apply.

Students from the Andhra Pradesh state/neighbouring states will be given preference.
